Niall Horan Scores A Pair Of Hits With Returning Fan Favorites

Among the five men who once made up One Direction, Niall Horan has enjoyed one of the most successful solo careers. All five singers — Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik — have released full-lengths on their own and scored hit singles, and they've done especially well in the United Kingdom. They all enjoyed at least some moments of commercial viability on their own, but Horan has a habit of returning to the U.K. music rankings from time to time, even without releasing anything new. Fans of the pop singer-songwriter keep buying some of his most popular tunes on physical formats, and their nonstop purchasing keeps him coming back. 'This Town' Becomes a Top 40 Bestseller Again Horan returns to multiple rankings in the U.K. this week with several tunes. His most successful track at the moment is 'This Town.' That cut becomes a top 40 success once more on both the Official Vinyl Singles and Official Physical Singles charts, as it reenters those rankings at Nos. 25 and 33, respectively. 'Heaven' Returns as Well Another Horan classic, 'Heaven,' finds its way back to the Official Physical Singles ranking, though it doesn't manage to land on the vinyl-only tally. 'Heaven' reappears at No. 69 on the U.K.'s list of the top-selling individual cuts on any physical format. 'This Town' and 'Heaven' Both Reached the Top 10 'This Town' has spent only a month on both of the tallies it returns to, but it has reached No. 1 in the past. The tune — his first solo release — opened at the summit on the rosters in February of this year. 'Heaven,' meanwhile, launched at No. 2 in April 2023 and then bounced back to that space the following month. Throughout more than two years, 'Heaven' has spent 10 weeks on the Official Physical Singles chart, but it's never managed to conquer the list. Flicker and The Show 'This Town' dropped almost a decade ago in 2016 and helped reintroduce Horan to the general public after his time with One Direction had finished. The track quickly shot into the top 10 on the Official Singles chart in the U.K. and kicked off a successful promotional campaign around his debut solo album Flicker. In 2023, Horan launched his third full-length, The Show, and that era began with 'Heaven.' The tune didn't quite reach the top 10 on the Official Singles chart, as it stalled at No. 16, but it still ended up as the biggest win from that project.

Drake's Critically-Acclaimed Blockbuster Earns A New Spot In His Catalog

Drake is one of the most successful musicians in the history of streaming music. He's earned that title thanks to a massive discography and a seemingly countless number of hit singles. Several of his albums rank among the most streamed of all time, and he regularly appears on Billboard's Top Streaming Albums chart, which lists the most successful titles on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and others throughout the United States. While his latest full-length, Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PartyNextDoor, is still his biggest win at the moment, one of Drake's earliest sets — and one of his most highly-regarded — emerges as a true streaming classic this week. Drake Sets a New Streaming Record Take Care is one of two Drake full-lengths to appear on the Top Streaming Albums chart this frame, as the set lifts one space to No. 31. It hits 63 weeks on the tally, and that, as it turns out, is a special number. Drake's 2011 project now stands as his longest-charting title ever on the Top Streaming Albums ranking. Last frame, Take Care was tied with For All the Dogs, as both had managed 62 stays. Now Take Care has passed the 2023 favorite. Drake's Streaming Chart History Throughout the few years that Billboard has been publishing the Top Streaming Albums chart, Drake has sent seven projects to the ranking. Some Sexy Songs 4 U already sits in third place on the list of the longest-running with 24 weeks, while Certified Lover Boy managed 20. Her Loss, his collaborative project with 21 Savage, earned 18 stays. Scorpion held on for 13, and Views — one of Drake's most commercially successful efforts — only lived on the list for two frames and stalled in the lowest rung possible. Take Care Made Drake a Superstar Take Care helped certify Drake as a superstar and much more than a one-hit wonder. Released in the fall of 2011, the set produced smashes like 'Headlines,' 'Make Me Proud,' and 'The Motto.' The project earned the Canadian rapper his first Grammy, for Best Rap Album. Take Care Rises on Multiple Billboard Charts Take Care is on the rise on every Billboard chart on which it appears this frame. As it nears 650 weeks on the Billboard 200, it inches north to No. 32. The project can also be found inside the loftiest tiers on both the Top Rap Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums tallies, where it appears at Nos. 7 and 10, respectively. Drake Maintains His Dominance on the Billboard 200 Eight different Drake albums appear on at least one Billboard list this week. All of them — including Some Sexy Songs 4 U and Take Care, as well as Views, Certified Lover Boy, For All the Dogs, Scorpion, Thank Me Later, and More Life — live on the Billboard 200, while some of his most popular also manage to take up space on the company's hip-hop- and rap-specific lists.
